A payment method is available only if it is displayed in checkout. Current settings indicate that Shopify Payments is not active and that no digital wallet is enabled. The live checkout controls if those settings later change.
Checks and authorization
The chosen provider may validate payment information and authorize or collect the order total. Orders can be delayed, refused, or cancelled because of authorization failure, inconsistent records, inventory change, fraud indicators, or security review.
Currency and money movement
Checkout normally presents U.S.-dollar pricing and shows tax, shipping, and the final payable amount. Do not retry a pending charge repeatedly. An accepted refund is routed back to the original method when supported, and provider processing can take additional time.
